Abstract:
Serial entrepreneurship is still an emerging issue in the field of entrepreneurship. However, serial entrepreneurship is increasingly visible, and its impact on the economy is indisputable. In this literature review, serial entrepreneurship's main topics and the advances, specifically in female serial entrepreneurship, were identified. The absence of research-oriented towards the phenomenon of women's serial entrepreneurship shows that this direction is fertile ground for expanding entrepreneurship theory. Based on the content analysis of the literature on serial entrepreneurship, some new trends are proposed that can guide research on serial entrepreneurship from a gender perspective. We contribute to current discussion proposing a unified definition of serial entrepreneurship and expands the frontiers toward gender dynamics and high-growth industries.
