.
Chapter 11 in Investigation Reports, 2021, pp 154-159 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
The mayor in the municipality of Ørland in the middle of Norway was accused of violating the Norwegian working environment act. Local media reported that a midwife had blown the whistle on the mayor. There was on financial motive, but rather a motive of exploring and exploiting the mayor position for other benefits in the hierarchy of needs. He climbed the hierarchy of needs for status and success, and wanted to satisfy the need for acclaim as a narcissist. Convenience themes include individual possibilities, status to commit, and innocence by justification and neutralization. Law firm Simonsen conducted a problem-oriented investigation into the case.
