A research agenda on religion in public administration: in dialogue with theologians
.
Chapter 8 in Religion and Public Administration, 2023, pp 206-218 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Chapter 8 outlines a research agenda - along a number of threads - that can enable to generate knowledge on the influence of religion on public administration. We consider each thread in this research agenda may be highly valuable for providing a different, and complementary, perspective to a range of research themes in the thriving field of public administration research. The chapter both defines a set of research questions for the existing themes identified in the book and delineates the contours of a set of new themes. This chapter is also a call for a dialogue with theologians and experts in religious studies and the philosophy of religion and the sociology of religion, whose contribution may be beneficial to the field of public administration.
