A dialogue between two grassroots Chinese feminists

Chapter 18 in Research Handbook on Feminist Political Thought, 2024, pp 381-392 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This is a dialogue between two grassroots Chinese feminists, Double and Lin, who participate in China’s feminist movements as advocates, documenters, witnesses, organizers, activists, etc., with the latter as the author. In this dialogue, we share our personal experiences of gender and feminist awakening, our journeys to feminist activism, our grassroots experiences of and strategies for conducting feminist activism in China’s changing contexts, and our opinions on and vision for the future of the feminist movements in China. To follow the feminist tradition of politicizing the personal, we hope to offer a glimpse of the development of feminists and feminist activisms in China’s context.
