The need to restructure
.
Chapter 11 in Organization in the Economic Firm, 2021, pp 141-158 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Chapter 11 shows how in a growing, profit-maximizing firm, the process costs of decision making can rise while, at the same time, the probability of making a correct decision can decline. This suggests that, at some point in its growth trajectory, the firm might need to consider restructuring or downsizing its organizational structure.
