Chapter 9 in Organization in the Economic Firm, 2021, pp 100-123 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Chapter 9 constructs a measure of the degree of participation by employees in decision making that will allow the paticipatoriness in different decisions and of different decision structures to be compared. It then separates the decision-making process into the making of the decision and its implementation, analyzes the idea of a cost-minimizing decision-making-committee size, and rewrites the Condorcet Jury Theorem of Chapter 8 to show how the number of individuals participating the making of the decision might affect the probability of is correctness.
