Abstract: This chapter focuses on the thought of the Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Žižek on the environmental or ecological crisis. The chapter articulates the implications of Žižek's critical appreciation for addressing the ecological crisis and how accounting fits in. The authors summarise and interpret for their purposes Žižek's positions. Moreover, they offer some final reflections by way of concluding comments.
