Chapter 19 in Handbook of Critical Environmental Accountability and Sustainability, 2026, pp 299-317 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
The chapter articulates a review of research on accounting and sustainability, considering such research to at least implicitly link accounting and sustainability in praxis. To better understand and appraise the literature, identify under-researched areas, and contribute to setting an agenda for future research, the chapter explores schemes that can helpfully categorise studies linking accounting and sustainability in relation to praxis.
