Abstract:
Covid-19 economic crisis was a unique event in a century. It demanded a wide range of economic policies to mitigate its effects. Within these countercyclical measures, unconventional monetary policies were massively undertaken by central banks. The Brazilian Central Bank also engaged into it, which was a novelty to monetary management in Brazil. The aim of this chapter is to recall, summarize and analyze the actions of the Brazilian Central Bank to confront the Covid-19 economic crisis.
