Abstract:
This entry addresses the role of civil society in the management of migration and in ensuring respect for, as well as the protection and fulfilment of, all rights of migrants. It explores civil society action in the provision of humanitarian and legal assistance, in advocacy for policy changes in migration, including through participation in the international fora. Finally, it addresses the concerning phenomenon of criminalization of solidarity.
