Chapter 11 in Small Firms and U.S. Technology Policy, 2023, pp 94-97 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: The focus of this chapter is on the customers of Phase II commercialized technologies. The survey data allow for the definition, by agency, of customers as being in the private sector, in the federal government sector (i.e., in a public-sector agency including the agency that funded the Phase II research), in state or local government, and/or in a foreign country (i.e., the technology was exported).
