Chapter 36 in Research Handbook on the Governance of Projects, 2023, pp 458-461 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: This chapter starts with a reflection on the breadth of themes in governance, as described in the various chapters of the book. This is followed by a look ahead toward near-term research topics for the governance of projects, such as multilevel governance, polycentric governance, artificial intelligence, and governance for social value creation. These four areas hold high potential for significant new insights and new governance practices and theories. The chapter finishes with some final words to our readers.
