Chapter 3 in Megaprojects for Megacities, 2022, pp 114-132 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This chapter identifies the criteria used to identify the 14 megaproject case studies that make up the core of this book. The criteria include: contemporary relevance, project type and geographic diversity, incorporation of significant design or engineering features, use of diverse and innovative financing mechanisms, and a mixture of documented outcomes. This chapter also provides brief summaries to the various case studies, noting how each fits into the practice-performance model outlined in this book.
