Public sector entrepreneurship: a restatement of a pricing policy recommendation
.
Chapter 10 in Public Sector Entrepreneurship, 2022, pp 107-111 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Chapter 10 concludes the book with a restatement of the innovative pricing policy recommendations for alleviating overcrowding in those national parks that have an entrance fee. The National Park Service currently standardizes entrance fees for all national parks, and it is authorized to do so under the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act, which expires in October 2022. Perhaps the policy recommendations for increasing entrance fees offered in the previous chapters will provide a springboard for policy makers to think about an economics approach to alleviate the overcrowding the U.S. national parks.
