The disintermediation of small and medium-sized enterprises' financing sources in the digital era
Beatrice Bertarini
Chapter 10 in SMEs in the Digital Era, 2023, pp 192-207 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Banking and financial disintermediation is not a new concept for the legal studies even though it has opened new and interesting financing prospects for enterprises in today’s digital age. This chapter investigates whether small and medium-sized enterprises can access these new forms of financing and what is the regulatory framework of control and supervision defined by European legislation.
