Dialogue 7 Time beyond time

.

Chapter 7 in Socratic Voices, 2023, pp 105-130 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: Reconciliation as referring to ‘the end of days’, pointing beyond Kant’s horizon of ‘perpetual peace’, to ultimate atonement. Is this contingent on religious belief or is it also inherent to a secular account of reconciliation? The role of ritual in bringing this dimension in sight. Peace offering, or indeed law offering, as a ritual.
