Improving data availability in Colombia to find interlinkages across the 2030 Agenda

Karen Chavez Quintero and Natalia Alonso Ospina

Chapter 9 in Interlinkages between the Sustainable Development Goals, 2023, pp 189-216 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: To achieve the implementation of the global SDG indicators framework, data availability is required to monitor the progress of SDG indicators and to establish the interrelationships between them. Considering there are still significant data gaps for countries to overcome, the chapter presents the main actions developed in Colombia to boost statistical strengthening processes to widen the availability of SDG data in Colombia. At the end of the chapter, recognizing that there are still challenges to be overcome, the main strategies that could be an example for other countries are described.
