Abstract: The first section of the chapter discusses the general composition of an esports employment contract. The section covers mandated and advisable provisions and clauses. Additionally, this section covers contractual provisos related to choice of law, restrictive covenants, and dispute resolution. The chapter goes on to explore the differences between the independent contractor and employee classification. Then the issues of immigration, minor employees, unionization, anti-discrimination, -harassment, -retaliation, and doping issues are explored in the context contracts in the esports industry.
