.
Chapter 10 in Reforming Capitalism for the Common Good, 2022, pp 134-143 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This chapter presents, in the wake of the global financial crisis of 2007-2009, John R. Commons's three-part strategy (addressing money, people, and politics) for curing joblessness while saving capitalism. It also underscores how Commons's insights extend beyond conventional Keynesian economics and remain relevant to contemporary economic downturns.
