Abstract:
The last chapter sums up and combine the knowledge gained from the contributions in the book. This includes how one can foresee welfare state’s ability to cope with the many and varied challenges welfare states are having and most likely will continue to have, including how to deal with the legitimacy as well as continued high expectations of what the welfare states can deliver also in turbulent times. This includes what can be expected to be the biggest challenges for the welfare states, including how and in what way there may be contradictions, as well as, how one might possible be able to cope with these.
