Abstract: This chapter highlights the waqf application for entrepreneurship activities, which focuses on small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs). SMEs are the foundation of many economies worldwide, especially in developing nations. It has contributed significantly to job creation, innovation, and economic growth. SMEs are undeniably important in the economic growth of many countries, representing 90 percent of businesses and more than 50 percent of employment worldwide. In this chapter, the focus will be on the SMEs in the waqf application. Next, the chapter also highlights findings from research and practices by many countries that can be adopted and adapted by waqf organizations and countries to help SMEs. Moreover, the chapter presented how waqf can help SMEs face the challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the possible solutions that SMEs can take concerning waqf application. The chapter highlights the possible solutions suggested by many researchers by introducing models and frameworks and industries related to waqf, which countries can consider to help the SMEs during and post-pandemic.
