Getting experienced: Making comparisons
.
Chapter 11 in Taking the Fear Out of Data Analysis, 2023, pp 185-215 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This chapter focuses on testing hypotheses involving comparisons. It first looks at different statistical tests for undertaking comparisons between groups and follows this with a discussion of the most common tests for comparing sets of measures. Throughout the chapter, the emphasis lies on selecting the right technique to carry out comparisons, given the number of groups/measures involved and the level of measurement of the variables involved.
