Abstract: MiFID II/MiFIR aim to create an integrated financial market in which investors are effectively protected and the efficiency and integrity of the overall market are safeguarded, and increase transparency and reduce the costs of transactions by organising competition between professionals (investment firms and credit institutions) and execution venues (regulated markets, multilateral trading facilities, organised trading facilities and systematic internalisers).
