Abstract:
Regulation (EU) 2016/1011 (the Benchmarks Regulation) aims to strengthen the accuracy, robustness and integrity of benchmarks by minimising conflicts of interest in their determination process and by reducing the risk relating to their manipulation. The Benchmarks Regulation also aims to uphold the proper functioning of the internal market and to complete a high level of protection for consumers and investors.
