Abstract: Directive 2009/65/EC on the coordination of laws, regulations and administrative provisions relating to undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (recast) sets out common rules for the authorisation, supervision, structure and activities of UCITS established in the Member States and lays down harmonised operating rules for management companies of UCITS and depositaries. The directive also provides a management company passport and a marketing passport for the cross-border management and marketing of UCITS.
