European Social Entrepreneurship Funds (EUSEF) Regulation
.
Chapter 39 in EU Banking and Financial Regulation, 2024, pp 413-418 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Regulation No 346/2013 on European social entrepreneurship funds (EuSEF) (EuSEF Regulation) sets out a ‘EuSEF’ label that can be used by managers of qualifying social entrepreneurship funds (QSEF) under certain conditions. The EuSEF Regulation lays down uniform requirements and conditions in relation to the portfolio composition of QSEF that may be eligible to the ‘EuSEF’ label. It also gives a European passport to registered AIFMs that wish to market their qualifying social entrepreneurship funds under the EuSEF label to professional investors throughout the EU without opting into full compliance with the AIFMD regime.
