The lean education system
Eivind Reke
Chapter 3 in A Research Agenda for Lean Management, 2024, pp 37-51 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
The author builds upon the notions of troublesome problems and threshold concepts to advance an interpretation of lean as an education system where the tools are instrumental to discover gaps in current knowledge, and learn knew knowledge, at all levels of the organization. The author urges scholars to pursue this line of research to deepen our understanding of how the lean education system can support lifelong learning inside organizations.
