Abstract:
Henley Business Angels (HBA) is an angel network established in 2016 with the triple aim of helping to promote the Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship (HCfE) as a ‘centre of excellence’ for entrepreneurial research, teaching and practice supported by the Henley Enterprise Lab (HELAB), investing in high growth potential early-stage ventures launched by entrepreneurs connected with the Henley Business School and mentoring by drawing on their expertise, connections, and deep industry knowledge. HBA generates multiple revenue streams and functions around quarterly meetings following a 9-step funding process culminating in a company presentation event. HBA's strategy to achieve its objectives is to grow organically and by consolidation with other local angel networks, with active campaigns focused on attracting both investors and entrepreneurs.
