Abstract: In this chapter, the authors provide an overview of the case for and best practices of experimental research in I-O psychology, focusing on field research as their primary area of expertise. The authors share their expertise from nearly two decades of conducting large-scale randomized controlled trials in organizations and publishing results in top-tier journals, furthering the science and practice in the field of intervention work in I-O psychology.
