Chapter 19 in How to Conduct and Publish High-Quality Research in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, 2025, pp 290-307 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Abstract: This chapter discusses cultural influences at macro-, meso-, and micro-levels, along with the commonly employed operational approaches to measurement. The interactive and dynamic nature of the influences across levels is discussed. We suggest the inclusion of culture in I-O Psychology and organizational behavior research that may increase the validity and replicability of a study. Furthermore, we address the primary challenges associated with this inclusion and offer potential solutions.
