The student experience
Malcolm Tight
Chapter 5 in Rethinking the Academic Experience, 2025, pp 61-75 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
The overall patterns revealed in the available published research on the student experience are discussed. More specific elements of the student experience are then considered in a semi-sequential way: admission and entry; the experience of study; the transition to work; and return to higher education at masters and/or doctoral level. The student experience of life and work in general alongside higher education is also examined.
