Abstract: The Product Social Impact Life Cycle Assessment (PSILCA) database is a pivotal resource for evaluating social impacts across the life cycle of products and services. It facilitates the identification and quantification of social impacts, aiding decision-making for various stakeholders. PSILCA's standardized methodological framework, covering 69 social aspects, contributes to comprehensive Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) studies, essential for informed decision-making and sustainability improvements. The database utilizes a Multi-Regional Input–Output model, encompassing 14,838 sectors across 189 countries, and considers global supply chains. PSILCA's structured approach, transparent data, and regular updates enable detailed analyses, highlighting social hotspots. Despite limitations, the database's three variants offer flexibility, aligning with software like openLCA and Simapro. PSILCA's role in assessing social and socio-economic impacts is crucial, enhancing understanding and supporting holistic sustainability practices. Further research is needed for continuous improvement.
