Abstract: The Completeness check reviews the degree to which the study's inventory and impact assessment are complete and whether cut-off criteria have been met so that all relevant information needed for the interpretation is available. Completeness is judged in relation to the objective set out in the Goal & Scope. It contributes to the validity of a study and ensures that substantiated conclusions can be drawn from the results of the study. It is one of three key elements of an evaluation of final results in the Interpretation phase of a sustainability assessment, next to the sensitivity check and the consistency check. Although situated in the Interpretation phase, the iterative nature of a sustainability assessment necessitates recurrent Completeness checks.
