Abstract: Professor Muhammad Shahbaz is considered one of the most outstanding scholars of present times and a prolific contributor to the discipline of energy and environmental economics. His works have provided novel perspective and helped shape the field of energy and environmental economics through his immense contributions spanning more than two decades. His characteristic interpretation of economic theories and his astute understanding of the dynamics of energy and environmental economics have elevated him to a position among the top researchers from developing countries. Prof. Shahbaz is currently working at Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China. He is also the Senior Departmental Fellow at Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge, UK, and Distinguished Research Fellow at the Institute of Business Research, University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
