Why public sector technology transfer?
.
Chapter 1 in Public Sector Technology Transfer, 2024, pp 1-16 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Chapter 1 sets the stage for the rest of the book. It offers an economic justification for the public sector being involved in funding technology transfer activities, and it provides historical context for such actions in terms of describing the Stevenson-Wydler Act of 1980 and the activities of the Interagency Workgroup on Technology Transfer (IAWGTT). An overview of the remaining chapters in the book is provided.
