Knowledge transfers from publicly funded firms
.
Chapter 7 in Public Sector Technology Transfer, 2024, pp 114-125 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Chapter 7 identifies correlations and covariates associated with knowledge transfers from small firms funded through the SBIR and STTR programs. The important statistical finding from the analysis in this chapter is that public sector knowledge transfers and technology transfers should not exclusively be thought of in terms of the R&D-based activities of federal laboratories. Federally funded and privately performed R&D is also a candidate to illustrate the presence of spillover benefits from public dollars.
