Directly raising incomes - does reducing poverty lead to food security?
.
Chapter 13 in Food Security, 2023, pp 135-142 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Do policies that directly raise incomes lead to food security? The limited evidence regarding the link between incomes policies and food security is examined. The evidence is mixed. Some policy successes are explored. The controversy over the disincentive effects on labour participation of guaranteed minimum incomes is explored within the context of food security.
