Abstract:
Sub-Saharan Africa's digital platform landscape is a mix of technical innovation, cultural diversity, strategic assets, economic viability, and uncertainty. The usage and influence of digital platforms in general have become fundamental to conversations on business, society, and governance as the area experiences fast digital transformation, fuelled by increased connectivity and technical breakthroughs. This chapter explores the current multinational national enterprise (MNE) trends that double as digital platforms in sub-Saharan Africa. Our focus is on the interaction of factors within the host environment of Nigeria and how these platforms have leveraged them creatively towards new opportunities and for adaptation towards their survival.
