Abstract:
Whether and to what extent SAP research has an impact on management practice, and is thus practically relevant, has been discussed intensely by SAP scholars and other practice theorists. Because of its focus on the practice of strategy, SAP research is often naively assumed to be practically relevant by definition. However, various (primarily conceptual) studies have revealed that the practical relevance of SAP studies cannot be taken for granted. In this entry, we summarize the existing literature on the practical relevance of practice-based research and provide some avenues for further discussion of this topic.
