Abstract:
Chapter 1 gives an overview of international business transactions as a subject of legal study. It explains the transactional, regulatory, litigation, and treaty-based aspects of the subject. It identifies the relevant regulatory actors, explains the various kinds of trading blocs, and introduces the major trading blocs such as the European Union, MERCOSUR, and the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. It concludes by providing a roadmap of the book.
