Chapter 6 in Creating the Future of Work, 2025, pp 108-124 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
In this final chapter of the book, we discuss how imaginaries of the future are partial, in that they express a simplistic view of the world, and how they are political, in that they express and exercise power. We also encourage the reader to dream of different imaginaries; imaginaries that reflect the world of work that we and they might want for our, and our children’s, future.
