Abstract: This chapter discusses what strategic litigation is and how it has assisted, and can continue to assist, in the further shaping and development of animal law in the UK. The chapter also covers the importance of campaigners and animal protection lawyers working collaboratively together, as well as the advantages of public engagement, the value of expert opinion, and the important role the media can play in bringing about positive and systemic change and protection for animals.
