Article 20: Accompanying measures

Gabrielle Holly

Chapter 19 in Sustainable Business in Europe, 2026, pp 258-276 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: This contribution elaborates the obligation of Member States to set up and operate individually or jointly dedicated websites, platforms or portals. The aim of these portals is to provide information and support to companies and their business partners and to stakeholders. It explores and comments on guidance and information accessibility through industry schemes and MSIs as well as third-party verification as means to meet this Member State obligation. Furthermore, Member States have to give specific consideration to the needs of small and medium-sized companies (SMEs). The contribution elaborates on SME and stakeholder support. Finally, it analyses additional action in the EU and third countries.
