Chapter 11 in Small Business Innovation in the Public Interest, 2025, pp 136-137 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This final chapter summarizes the previous chapters with an emphasis that the purpose of this book was a disaggregated analysis of Institutes and Centers within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Emphasis is given to the finding that the economic behavior and performance of SBIR-funded firms cannot fully be understood or appreciated unless one studies such firms at the Institute and Center level.
