Chapter 6 in Small Business Innovation in the Public Interest, 2025, pp 82-95 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
The development of innovative technologies and innovative outputs is discussed in this chapter in terms of the likelihood that a Phase II SBIR-funded project will commercialize its developed technology and the likelihood that a Phase II research project will result in patent applications and patent awards. Trends in these metrics are discussed, and across-Institute and across-Center patterns are highlighted.
