Chapter 8 in Small Business Innovation in the Public Interest, 2025, pp 117-122 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Three mechanisms that measure the outflow of technical knowledge from a Phase II project are considered in this chapter. The mechanisms are licensing agreements, research joint venture agreements, and R&D agreements. The use of these mechanisms is measured across Institutes and Centers, and the use of these mechanisms is related to the funded firms’ prior SBIR history.
