Abstract:
Facing the sustainability challenges posed by urban logistics is complex due to factors such as the heterogeneity of stakeholders, high competition among operators, lack of data and awareness, and conflicting objectives between public and private actors. Effective urban policies require stakeholder acceptability, which reduces conflicts and facilitates implementation. Participatory planning, recommended by European guidelines, ensures stakeholder engagement, better information, and co-creation of feasible solutions, enhancing urban quality of life and economic development. It is thus important to identify all stakeholders and to develop tools to actively involve them, which can result in greater efficiency and effectiveness of the solutions adopted.
