Abstract:
The provision of efficient healthcare logistics in urban settings is important to provide accessible healthcare in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Well-designed healthcare logistics facilitate access to routine care and emergency responses whilst aiming to reduce the prevalence of urban congestion and pollution. Innovative solutions, including digitalisation and last-mile logistics, can improve efficiency and sustainability and offer patients convenient and safer care. Urban healthcare logistics are also important in both public health agendas and disaster responses. Future advances have to focus on the need for equitable access and environmental responsibility in densely populated areas.
