Abstract: Power is a foundational cornerstone of any realist organisation studies. The historical roots of its discussion run deep and intersect cognate disciplines such as political science, political theory, political economy and political sociology. Key texts dealing with types, dimensions and circuits of power are briefly analysed to construct an argument that shows the broadness of any theoretical consideration of power in organisation studies.
