Abstract: The cartography of controversies is a methodological tool developed to observe conflicts. Initially focused on technoscientific issues, it has recently been applied to management and historical organisation studies. This method enables researchers to map interactions and disagreements among actors, thereby exposing how power dynamics and realities are constructed. Controversies challenge the status quo, bringing silenced perspectives to light, particularly in historical accounts. This entry explores how the cartography of controversies can reveal hidden narratives in organisational history, offering a framework for investigating marginalised voices and unresolved conflicts within organisations, making the past more accessible and inclusive.
